Fitzgerald appointed to deliver Dudley Interchange Highway Works

Fitzgerald Contractors have been appointed by Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council to undertake highways works, providing a new access road into the new Dudley Interchange. The Interchange will replace the out-of-date bus station, offering a modern, accessible environment and seamless connections between bus and Metro services.  

As part of the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension, the new Interchange will better connect the people of Dudley to leisure and job opportunities across the region – as well as providing a modern gateway to the town for visitors.

We will deliver the associated Highways works in Dudley Town Centre, with works undertaken along the entire length of St Joseph Street and part of B4171 Trindle Road.

The contract was awarded through the Black Country Framework Contract for Minor Works, it is a £2m scheme and will be delivered over a 30 week period.
