Fitzgerald awarded a place on first of its kind government construction framework
We are delighted to announce that the company has won a coveted place on the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Construction Works and Associated Services Framework to deliver civil engineering contracts worth up to £3m for the next 7 years.
Fitzgerald are one of just 10 suppliers on the England North region sub-lot with the new framework giving construction companies the opportunity to bid for work on government projects. It provides customers and suppliers with the assurances required for long-term projects, and ensures that the Government obtains best value for money.
Fitzgerald Managing Director Nick Coley said: ‘This is a significant contract win to add to our Framework portfolio of work following on from our recent success in retaining our place on Warwickshire County Council’s 2019-21 Framework Contract for Provision of Engineering Construction Works. We look forward to working collaboratively with our clients and stakeholders, in particular at preconstruction stage, to demonstrate our in-house expertise and add significant value to the schemes that we undertake.’
CCS Deputy Director for Construction John Welch commented: “This agreement will support construction and drive industry growth. Its lot structure has been designed to maximise opportunities for all sizes of company and that includes SMEs, which play a key role in UK construction’.
