Droitwich Leisure Centre has started at a cracking pace
With the benefit of the sunshine and dry weather our new £1.5 scheme at Droitwich Leisure Centre has started at a cracking pace with multiple gangs digging and filling to form the new car park.
The scheme for Wychavon District Council will improve the parking facilities at the leisure centre which is also used for drop off at the nearby schools as well as various sports clubs and other outdoor leisure activities.
Meticulous planning and coordination started by the preconstruction team during the tender process and continued by the delivery team has enabled the great start the works have made. Also, the upfront preparation and consideration of the needs of all stakeholders has meant that the fast start has not adversely impacted the centre users or the twice daily peak period influx of parents and pupils.
Installing the significant drainage attenuation system is the next milestone on the programme so fingers crossed for the site team that the lovely weather will continue for a while longer.
