Project Update: Spitfire Homes – Bishops Cleeve

We’re thrilled to be delivering vital infrastructure improvements for the new Spitfire Homes development, including:

• New cycle and footways
• LV electric main installation and diversion
• Street lighting and signage
• Full carriageway works: drainage, kerbing, and resurfacing
• Construction of a new commercial access for a future David Lloyd gym

This 21-week scheme began on 20th January, with a project value of £800K.
As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility, an ecologist has been on site, monitoring biodiversity. 80 450x450mm felt mats have been installed across the area to detect the presence of insects, bugs, and newts by attracting them to the heat-retaining surfaces.

So far, no wildlife has been detected, but checks are ongoing every two days. This is testament to how collaboration can move projects forward while protecting the natural environment.
